SpiderMan vs. SuperGirl vs. He-Man – who WINS?

Now, I know what you’re thinking – “this is a power match-up post where we’re going to figure out who the strongest is out of these three.” And – that’s a great idea! We’ll get into that towards the end, but for now let me tell you which of their MOVIES ranks 1, 2, and 3.

I just FINALLY got to see SpiderMan: Brand New Day a few days ago and I absolutely LOVED IT! The vibes, the coloring, the editing, the soundtrack, Mr. Milchick, Tom Holland’s thicker accent, and SADIE SINK! I had read all of the theories as to who Sadie Sink could possibly be playing and I was hoping that she was playing who she ended up playing! I have several music video ideas already.

The highlight to me for the movie was the theme – the theme of accepting your growing up as not something bad but something necessary and just a part of life – I loved that. And also, the importance of not doing it alone even if you’re capable of doing it alone.

Not to mention the performances from literally every member of the cast. The subtle maturity of Zendaya’s MJ, the quiet strength of Tom’s Peter Parker, the fragility of the Punisher’s own healing journey, the tense pain just barely under control within Sadie Sink’s character – and all of the side actors who performed so brilliantly. Literally 10/10!!!

Sounds like Spiderman ranks in at number 1 then, yeah? Not necessarily.

Let’s talk now about He-Man himself from Master’s of the Universe!

I’d never seen anything of He-Man before – I only knew a bit of the old art and a few of the memes. But, even I could tell that this movie was a huge love letter to the original fans of the original He-Man. I felt that Nicholas Galitzine did an amazing job of bringing Adam to life on the big screen. And Jared Leto too – hands down the best role he’s ever played!

I absolutely LOVED it! The action, the colors, the real-ness, the un-realness, the story progression, the acting, the soundtrack, the character arcs, and of course the humor. I laughed at this movie so hard – and then I cried! That is phenomenal! And then – I wanted to go workout and get super super strong! As a writer you couldn’t ask for a better reaction from a fan.

If I had to distill the theme/message of this movie it would be that – niceness/kindness does not equal weakness, and true strength comes from true compassion – and also, be yourself, you’re stronger than you know!

Again, a great movie, a great theme, super fun and really just a 10 outta 10 experience!

“So, that must be number 1 then?” you say, but let’s not be too hasty. I haven’t gotten to talk about Supergirl yet!

As a Marvel girl, Supergirl (being part of the DC world) was never really in my sphere. I didn’t know much about her, other than her name, and I wasn’t sure if I would gel with her personality, backstory, or anything really. But, my goodness she was the best! Milly Alcock did just the best job with Supergirl (I think!), absolutely the best!

Genuinely, the movie was funny, heavy, and healing. The soundtrack was outstanding and well utilized. The costuming and coloring made sense and all of the action felt real, not over-the-top superhero ridiculous, but just real. It was funny, it was sad, it was relatable, it was tragic, it was hopeful. At the end of the day it was about a girl protecting her dog and younger “sister” from bad men.

And, I’m gonna get into a little bit of spoilers here for this one because I just can’t help myself! So, skip over this part if you don’t want any SPOILERS. Scroll past the Superman gif, and you’ll be safe!

I really loved that panning shot from the final fight where the camera is focused on Ruthye, the younger “sister” character, as Supergirl is flying around and protecting her. There’s explosions and shrapnel and everything’s moving so fast, but the camera is slow. The music is slow. The moment is slow. Ruthye is slow – and Supergirl is fast. And the sooooong!! This was the moment in the movie that made me breakdown. They played a cover of The Middle by Jimmy Eat World during this moment and it was so fitting, so perfect, so poignant that I just sobbed. Even now, just thinking about it makes me want to cry.

I also loved how they dealt with the killing the bad guy, revenge dilemma. Because there are these bad men, and one in particular, who are just committing crime after crime and leaving dead and wounded bodies in their wake wherever they go. The younger sister character, Ruthye, wants to kill the villain for murdering her family. Supergirl convinces her not too, not because he doesn’t deserve it, but because it would be bad for her to do it. Supergirl convinces Ruthye to walk away, not promising her that she would kill him, just getting Ruthye to walk away for the sake of her own soul – and then Supergirl kills him herself. She saves the little girl from having to do something that would’ve haunted her for the rest of her life but still delivers a just sentence to the villain. It made her much more Punisher-esque and Iron-Man-esque than Batman-esque and I liked that.

Alright, spoilers over. Here’s your SuperMan gif. (btw – I can never remember should the -girl and -man be capitalized in superhero names? idk…)

I could go on and on about this movie and the other two above it – but I’ll wrap it up for you here. Suffice it to say this one was another 10 out of 10 movie!

So – that’s a brief snapshot of the three movies. And now for my ranking! Starting at the bottom, coming in at number three, we have…

SpiderMan: Brand New Day!

In second, snapping up the spectacular silver medal for Superhero movies of 2026 we have…

Masters of the Universe!

Which means that SUPERGIRL is our reigning champion winning the coveted GOLD MEDAL ranking at NUMBER 1 in my very official, never to be challenged, iron-clad, Hollywood approved ranking system.

Now – who would win in a fight – honestly, I think the two boys would agree that there’s no need to fight each other when they could just talk things out, and Supergirl would be too bored to even engage. So, it would be a draw.

TOP Movies of 2026 (first up – IRON LUNG)

2026 has been a pretty good year for movies so far, if I do say so myself.

We started out the year SUPER strong with Markiplier’s self-produced/written/directed/acted/distributed/marketed box office hit Iron Lung and what a way to start the year!

Atmospheric, scary, spooky, immersive, thought-provoking, adrenaline-pumping, horror – I could not be more impressed with Mr. Markiplier. Not only did he have to do everything himself, he out-earned his budget by a mile and became the number one movie in America opening weekend. With a budget of under 5 million, the whopping 51 million worldwide meant that the film was definitely a success.

And, for those of you that don’t know – let me just break it down for you a little bit.

Markiplier is a YouTuber, most famous for his scary games let’s plays. Iron Lung is an indie game developed by David Szymanzki, that Markiplier played, loved, and acquired movie adaption rights for via DM (initially.) Mark then proceeded to write, film, fund, and edit the entire project, even going so far as to convert his own home bathroom into a render farm to get the job done, over the next couple of years.

Once filming and a majority of the editing had been completed, he began the official process of shopping the finished product around to companies for an official theatrical release – a process that fell on deaf ears. After nearly a year (could’ve been slightly more or less) of no success, he decided to just go directly to the movie theaters himself for the release.

Initially it was only supposed to release in a handful of theaters for one weekend. But Markiplier urged his fanbase that if they wanted the movie to come to a theater near them, to then reach out to their local movie theaters and request the film.

The response was massive and immediate.

By the time release day rolled around the film had gone from a handful theaters to over 4,161. And not just in local indie theaters , but in the massive chains ones such as AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. And not just for one weekend but for almost 4 weeks.

Markiplier proved something huge. Fans want to go to the movies. And they want to see real art by real artists. The movie theaters aren’t dying out – the fans just aren’t interested in boring budget bloated remakes. Give them something new, something interesting, something with heart and soul, something made by humans who actually care about what they’re doing – and fans will be there.

Overall, I give Iron Lung a 10 out of 10! I genuinely can’t think of what he could’ve done better that he didn’t do. All I can say is that I hope that he continues to make movies and I am so excited and can’t wait for them when he does. He’s working on the DVD’s for Iron Lung right now, and I can’t wait!

And, Iron Lung wasn’t the only good movie this year!

“General Kenobi!”

In all honesty, my perfectionism took over and made it really difficult for me to post anything that wasn’t “perfect!”

Road Trip Essentials (Fallout Style)

Lucy and Ghoul may be on a road trip, and they may be limited to what they can and cannot bring with them. But, in a perfect world, these are the roadtrip essentials that every human and ghoul should have with them.

#1: MUSIC! Whether it’s your own vocal cords, that retro cassette player, or Spotify, you cannot have a proper road trip without music. I personally have been fully enchanted by the sweet music of Lorien Testard and Alice Duport-Percier. I have not stopped playing the entire soundtrack of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 since my own personal discovery of the game in May of this year. Whether you’re Driving Home for Christmas (by Chris Rhea), off to stop the Paintress, or searching for your family in New Vegas, you canNOT travel without MUSIC.

#2: SNACKS! I know that Sugar Bombs, and Crispy Squirrel Bits are all the rage in the Wasteland, but personally I prefer Muddy Buddies and Slim Jims. Add in a couple of cups of iced coffee along the way, and I am one happy camper. 

And last, but most certainly not least…

#3: Emergency Supplies. Ghoul and Lucy would probably list their weapons as their most essential essentials, but for me I’m gonna have to list my fully-charged combo jump-starter and tire pressure pump, and a can of fixoflat.

The ABC Murders BOOK REVIEW

There is nothing quite so enjoyable as a good mystery.  Make that mystery a murder mystery and baby you’re really cooking with gas now!  There are arguably none that weave an intriguing web better than the late, the renowned, the respected Mrs. Agatha Christie.  She most certainly has that market cornered, bought and paid for complete with a little white picket fence and everything.

Whether you’re new to her novels or simply looking for a good re-read ABC Murder will satiate that detective’s palate of yours. 

It begins innocently, or should that be ominously enough, with our famed little mustachioed detective Monsieur Poirot receiving a fearsome correspondence.  One that promises that it’s writer, an enigmatic ABC, is up to grade-A-no-do-goodery.  And sure enough not too much later someone winds up dead.  A Mrs. A., in such-and-sucha town starting with A.  It could be a coincidence… sure… until a second letter is received… and a Miss B., in a different such-and-sucha town that starts with B, pops up dead a month later.  It’s a race against time to unmask and catch the killer before he or she reaches victim Z.

Christie does a magnificent job of plopping you down right smack dab into the middle of the emotional turmoil of each and every character, be they a victim, a relative, a detective or the murderer himself.  The book is made all the more horrifying when the modern reader is forced to realize that back at the time of its writing ‘serial killers’ were not so prevalent, and in fact, weren’t even really a thing at all.  Add to that the seemingly unconnected randomness of the victims and the alluded mental illness of the killer and you’ve got a really truly disturbing story.

But fret not.  This is not a horror story.  It is a detective novel.  And as such, there is a conclusion – and it is a satisfying one.  Without giving too much away, I’ll just say, “Ah, I see.  Of course.  It makes perfect sense. ”

What I really love about all of Agatha Christie’s novels is that they’re people books.  She doesn’t muck about with creating characters that are unrealistic.  She goes with the stereotypes, with the expected, with the corniness, and it is amongst these very commonplace characters, settings, and routines that the reader gets fooled into missing the murderer themselves.  Until Monsieur Poirot or another detective unveils them. 

I would definitely recommend this book.  Maybe not as a first foray into the works of Agatha Christie, for that I would have to recommend my own first which was And Then There Were None.  But as a first Poirot novel, it would do just fine. 

That’s the other thing about her books that I love – you can start anywhere and not feel lost. 

Each book is its own case and its own complete story, and there is just enough ambiguity about the genius detective throughout all of them to make the reader feel like they know him, while really not knowing much about him at all.  The little crumbs of his past that one does receive only serve to make the mysteries deeper and richer.

Lockwood & Co. BOOK REVIEWs for 3, 4, & 5, (aka The Hollow Boy, The Creeping Shadow, & The Empty Grave)

Like many other unfortunate souls I am a person who was not aware of the Lockwood & Co. books [written by a Mr. Jonathan Stroud] until the Netflix series [directed by a Mr. Joe Cornish and starring a Mr. Cameron Chapman as Anthony Lockwood, a Miss Ruby Stokes as Lucy Carlyle, and a Mr. Ali Hadji-Heshmati as George “Cubbins” Karim] debuted at the end of January this year, 2023.  Needless to say, I was immediately [ghost]locked to my screen for the next 8 hours (admittedly spread out over 2 to 3 nights), drinking in the moody British perfection like a good cuppa *Cameron Special* tea. 

Naturally, as soon as it was over (and I’d consumed it an additional 3 more times) it was necessary for me to purchase the books and read the three that the show had not covered.  I simply NEEDED to know – ‘What was behind that door?’, ‘What was the deal with all of those ghostlocked kids?’, ‘Would Norrie ever wake-up?’, ‘WHEN do Lucy & Lockwood kiss?’  Well, if you’ve read the books then you’ll know the answer (or lack thereof) to all of those questions.  And, if you haven’t read the books yet – then what are you waiting for??  Until the happy (delusional) news that some other network has picked up the show for a second season (fingers and toes crossed so hard over here!) the books are the only way to live that Portland Row life again.

All that being said, without much further ado, here are my SPOILER-FREE Snapshot Reviews of the last three Lockwood & Co. books.

THE HOLLOW BOY – An outbreak of Visitors in Chelsea has left London terrified, confined to their homes, and all of the psychical agencies spread thinner than a bit of butter stretched over too much bread.  The agents of Lockwood & Co. are no exception.  Drowning in work, an office manager is hired, but not everybody is happy about extremely pretty new addition.  Tensions and Talents rise in tandem with the danger of the cases, until everything bursts.  Truths emerge out of the wreckage, presenting one of our agents with a heartbreaking choice. 

In three words The Hollow Boy was:  Frustrating, Painful, Nail-Biting.  Seriously, the angst between all of the characters was so real that the FDA had to give an official consumption warning (not actually, of course, but if you know, you KNOW!).  I loved it!  I really, truly did, but the miscommunications, the passive-aggressiveness, the misunderstandings – really, it was very painful. 

THE CREEPING SHADOW – The Lockwood & Co. crew team up for one more case – that quickly turns into three or four.  A cannibal ghost, gangster humans, and a dark creeping shadow are just the headlines while the subtext reads delicate relationships, secret societies, and curious capes. Will the answers received be enough for the little agents that could, or will the new questions raised, set them up as the David against the Goliaths of their industry?

In three words The Creeping Shadow was:  Gross, “THANK-YOU!”, and “Oh-Ma-Gawd!”.  I mean, without spoiling too much, I will just say that the conversations (if you know, baby YOU KNOW!!), the twists (I mean that character always was a little suspicious to me so it wasn’t too much of a surprise, but STILL!), and the ghosts (that’s why the word Gross is being used here) … *clap**clap* trust me, multiple cups of tea were harmed (by me drinking them) in the reading of this book.

THE EMPTY GRAVE – Lockwood & Co. knows a secret that the rest of the world does not.  In this last adrenaline rush for the truth our heroes must battle Visitors, the press, and their own feelings.   With the future full of uncertainties, of one thing our agents are sure – the Problem must end.  One way or another.  For good.  

In three words The Empty Grave was:  Adrenaline-Spiking, Releasing-a-breath-that-you-DEFINITELY-knew-that-you-were-holding, and SATISFYING.  Just the memory of this book sets a person’s (this person, this one right here!) heart racing and their blood pumping whilst a casual giddy smile spreads across their face.  I was SOO HAPPY with the conclusion of this book.  I was terrified for a little bit there, I’m not gonna lie.  I was actually crying at the three-quarter mark… but then it all went … aaaaagh!  And all I can say now is that I wish there were more books!

AND MORE SHOW!!!  C’mon, someone please pick it up!  Please?!  I’ll bake a cake for you😝   (well, I’ll bake it for myself, I don’t know your address, but it’ll be in your honor!)

Book #2 – Perelandra

Just finished, on 1/7/2022, book #2 for the “read 1 book a week” new years challenge.

The book was Perelandra by CS Lewis.

Wow.

All I can say is wow!

It has been a long time since a book, movie, or show has scared me so much to the point of not being able to fall asleep, but this one did it.

It follows the further adventures of our leading man Ransom, a middle-aged British scholar, who this time around rather then being kidnapped by morally depraved humans and taken to Mars, is spirited away by celestial eldila (what we would most probably call angels) and sent to Venus. The newborn planet of floating islands and innocent new creations has been invaded by another creature, a creature that Ransom has been sent to stop – the devil himself.

Once again, I don’t know if that’s a good enough summary of the book – but I can promise you, that that is the starting off point of it.

What was most frightening was how familiar the words of the devil sounded. From modern tv shows, books, education, social media, the news, academic circles, etc, etc… it was all too familiar.

What I liked was how Ransom has never been put out there as a saintly character or like some kind of superhero, he has always just been a middle aged, academic, Christian Englishman. He is very much a real person. The thoughts and feelings he has throughout the book (throughout both of the books in fact) are ones that I think would be familiar to almost everyone today.

And he had to fight the devil.

He was the one that had been sent, it could’ve just as easily been someone, anyone else, but it was him. So, he had to stand up and fight.

I have heard it said, and I believe it, that Ransom was based off of CS Lewis’s dear friend JRR Tolkien. What I love about that is that it is very clear in reading both Tolkien and Lewis, one a Catholic and the other a born again Christian respectively, that they are in the constant habit of having very intense deep discussions. I love how you can see a similarity of themes, ideas, characters and topics in both of their writings. (btw if my writing style is a little different, that is the direct response of having just spent the last few hours immersed in Lewis’s own writing style, hahaha!🤣)

I don’t really know how to put my thoughts into words… maybe I should wait a day or two to write a proper review, but I wanted to get something down now while the experience was fresh in my mind.

I have also heard it said that one of CS Lewis’s early academic essays that deals with the topic of space travel deals with the question that, and I’m paraphrasing here, “what if the alien life we discover, is a race that has never sinned? What then? We would have to be very careful to make sure that our race did not cause another to Fall.” Again, that’s all paraphrase, I haven’t read that essay myself, (not yet anyways!), but that is the question that is most definitely raised in Perelandra.

Ransom, is essentially dropped into a new Garden of Eden, on the planet Venus, where he meets a new Eve, and then our old devil, in the body of one the men that had kidnapped him in the previous novel, arrives to try to make her Fall.

1/10/2021 – I took a few days to try to collect my thoughts a bit more coherently, and still all I can say is YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! It is so good!!

10 out of 10, 5 out of 5, this book is everything!

Happy New Year!

While I was mindlessly browsing the internet the other day, I came across a person’s New Years Resolution that I liked, and it was, “To read 1 book a week.”

At first I was like, “52 books? That’s not a whole lot!”, but realistically it is! Let’s face it – ever since I “grew up”, I really haven’t “had the time” to read. So, my annual book count is definitely, definitely waaaay down there.

So, I’ve decided I’m going to do this one. 😀

I’m going to (do my best) read at least one book per week (realistically sometimes it might be less, sometimes it might be more).

I am happy to say that I’ve already started 😀 and I can check book #1 off my list. The first book of the year has been:

Out of the Silent Planet by CS Lewis.

Out of the Silent Planet follows the adventures of Dr. Ransom, a philologist, who is kidnapped and taken to an alien planet. Escape from his captors leads to the discovery of new languages, species, and insights into the role of man in the cosmos. (I don’t know if that’s a good way to summarize it haha, but it’s what I’ve got!)

CS Lewis is such a masterful writer that sometimes I feel at a loss to recount what I’ve just read. But, I’m going to try my best here. 😀

Here’s what I liked:

1: evidence of same ideas.

If you’ve read any of CS Lewis before, or any clump of books by the same author before, then you’ll know what I’m talking about here.

Out of the Silent Planet was written well before the Chronicles of Narnia. OotSP was published in 1938, and the first Narnia book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 1950. What is so cool about having read the Narnia books as a child and then going and reading OotSP as an adult now, is that you can see similar themes, concepts, ideas, and scenes at their early stages. OotSP is a bit harder to read because it is written for adults and not for children, but it’s also a bit harder to follow (I believe) because CS Lewis himself is still refining his ideas, still honing his craft, still working on the best way to concisely get the message across.

As I writer, I am so encouraged by the authors like CS Lewis, Agatha Christie, William Shakespeare, JRR Tolkien – because they stick to their stories. For some reason there’s this feeling as a young writer, and maybe I’m the only one that’s ever felt this way, but there’s this feeling that your “next story” needs to be ENTIRELY different from your last one. And while CS Lewis wrote a multitude of fiction and non fiction and cannot be accused of being repetitive, he and all of his books have the same heart.

2: space done differently

Outer Space in Mr. Lewis’s book is unlike any other rendition/representation of space that I’ve ever come across. Space is not a cold empty void, it is a bright warm living heaven. After the initial fright of having been drugged, kidnapped, and waking up in a spaceship hundreds of thousands of miles from Earth Ransom spends a lot of time marveling and basking in the beauty and glory of heaven.

3: God, creation, and the devil.

Towards the end of the book, after Ransom has been on the alien planet living amongst the aliens for some months, Ransom meets the ruler of the planet Oyarsa, and from him (as well as from the aliens he’s been spending so much time with) Ransom learns a bit about their planet, how it was created, how there was one creator of all the planets and creatures including men and Earth, and how their is a Bent One chained to the Earth that has been at continual war with the Creator.

I won’t go into too much more of this part, because it was truly the most fascinating and my favorite part of the whole book, so I really don’t want to spoil it for any of y’all’s! It was really good!

It reminded me of Tolkien’s creation story in the Silmarillion, with evil Melkor and all of that jazz.

4: fun writer banter

At the end, there is a post-script chapter between the Author, Lewis, and his friend “Ransom”. It is revealed that the events of the book are true, but that they have been packaged up as fiction so that it will be more widely distributed.

There’s a line where Ransom is complaining to the writer, Lewis, about why does the “reader” need to know this part, and when he says “reader” he adds in brackets “you seem to know a devil of a lot about them!”. 🤣

In conclusion, it was a good book! It was small, it was spacey sci-fiy, it was thought provoking, it was of course well written, it was fantastical, and it was the first in a trilogy. I’ve read the third one That Hideous Strength before, but that was years ago and I can hardly remember it now.

I am definitely looking forward to reading the next two, Peralandra and That Hideous Strength, and in continuing this one book a week thingy! I will post about the books I read once I finish them, so the posting schedule might end up a little wonky, but I hope that you’ll enjoy them.

Ranking ALL the Spiderman Films (that I’ve seen!🤣)

SPIDERMAN IS COMING OUT!!!!!

I can’t tell you how excited I am for this movie!! I mean, I could, and I guess I should try, seeing as this is a blog and the whole point of it is for me to tell you things…

I AM SO EXCITED!!

Seeing as this movie promises (and I really, really, really hope it delivers!) to give us all 3 Spidermans’ (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, AND Tom Holland!!) I thought it would be a fun idea to rank all of their Spiderman films from least favorite to favorite of mine.

Now, fair warning, I’ve never seen any of the Andrew Garfield movies.😳 I know, I know, treason!! But, it’s because I loved Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman so much, that I couldn’t watch them! So, that means then that, I’m sorry but Andrew Garfield’s movies are going to be ranked last.

Also, I’m not going to include any of the Marvel movies that are not titled Spiderman… So, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame are right out!

Ranking out of 7 movies (because No Way Home doesn’t count yet!!), we have in 7th place

#7: The Amazing Spider-Man 2

It’s last because I haven’t seen it😆, and it’s a sequel and sequels are historically bad🤐, and I heard that Gwen Stacy dies – so that’s sad! 😦

#6: The Amazing Spider-Man

Again, because I haven’t seen it, but it’s higher for me than the 2nd one because I love origin stories and pilots. I love em!!

#5: Spider-Man: Far From Home

This one is last in the realm of Spidey films I’ve seen because it was a bit too chaotic. Normally, I love all of that Inception-style craziness, but this one just didn’t quite do it for me, especially after all of the drama of Endgame. Plus, I hated the way that Mysterio, Jake Gyllenhaal, tried to replace Tony Stark in Peter’s life by manipulating him!!😡 But, I still really, really liked it!😁

#4: Spider-Man 3

A much as the Bully Maguire memes have revived this film – it is truly awful! 🤣 It ranks lower than the other 2 for me too because of the fact that Peter Parker never said the words “I’m sorry.” in this film. He’d actually made a lot of mistakes, and he never apologized! Not to MJ, not to Harry, not to anybody – I think he says something at some point to the effect of “I shouldn’t have…” or “I made a mistake…” but that’s not an apology! Those simple words “I’m sorry.” are so powerful, and they got that in Black Widow, when they had Natasha at the end apologizing to Antonia (aka the Taskmaster), just repeating “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” to her. I won’t explain the scene more, in case anyone here hasn’t seen it yet.

#3: Spider-Man

The original Tobey Maguire origin story Spiderman. Coming in at 3rd, because we can’t have a tie for first place, ok, c’mon!

#2: Spider-Man: Homecoming

I loooooved this movie! This was the film that really cemented Tom Holland as Peter Parker for me. I’ve said it before, but Tobey Maguire was my favorite Spiderman, so I was very reluctant to accept any newcomer to the role, and indeed if he hadn’t had his debut in Civil War (I’m Team Thor btw!), then I probably would’ve skipped his origin film. But, he knocked it out the park in Civil War and ran all the way home with Homecoming! 👏👏

So, that means that, coming in first place it’s, that’s right, you guessed it…

#1: Spider-Man 2

This one was the first superhero movie that I ever saw! That’s why it gets first place, because it was this movie that got me into superhero films in the first place. This one, then Batman Begins, then Iron Man sealed the deal. It defied sequel expectations by being better than it’s predecessor. Doc Oc, that stopping the train scene, Willem Dafoe driving James Franco to madness, *chef’s kiss*!

And, that’s it!

I CANNOT WAIT to see No Way Home (I’ve already got tickets!) and I hope that it is good enough to de-throne the king of this list. If Tobey & Andrew (and Charlie Cox!) are truly in it, then I think it just might! 😀

I need to practice “Elevator Pitches”, so, I figured, what better way to do that than by crafting some for one of the worlds most popular series’ of our time.
